I loved this post - it's gorgeous. Especially the boy and the crossbow. Nothing wrong with fantasies :P
And think of all the times you didn't say no. I'm thankful for those.
It's not a fantasy! True story. He was very sweet and curiously non-threatening, considering that he was carrying a very deadly weapon, and that we were in a very isolated backwoods area. I shook my head no and he walked on. I never felt afraid - how is that for picking up on someone else's frequency? I'll have to recover that skill. It took a freewrite to remind me of the event.
Oh gosh you seem to have got me wrong twice - my bad. I meant that the fantasy is about this memory, not that the memory was a fantasy?
