Up on the mountain top, in a small town town named Rachel Nevada is Groom Lake Mine. When I still had my legs there, I would adventure anywhere and everywhere I could. I fell in love with this town and the people in it. Not even at 100 the real population of little Rachel Nevada and the Little Alien'Inn.

I'd go to get away. This town is quiet almost no service unless you have Verizon and man... you want to talk about seeing the stars. Gosh they are beautiful when you get away from all the light pollution. Bob lasar owns property over there and groom Lake mine is located in Rachel Nevada. I have had the chance to explore a little bit of groom Lake mine and I'll tell you it was quite the experience.

It was about a 20 minute drive up this mountain and once inside, boy was its spooky. At 1 point we shut off all of our lights and the darkness was so dark. Once the entrance Look like the size of a pea I knew to turn around before I got lost. Can you imagine that? Getting lost in a mine.. By area 51 no less.

It was also very cold and along the walls you can see the leftover veins of quartz amethyst and Garnet. The rights to the mine are still owned. If he wanted to he could continue to mine that area. But as you can tell by the pictures there several cayvan's and it's very dangerous . It really is a beautiful thing to see and experience. I'll be honest seeing the entrance look like the size of a pea was very very scary. That's when I decided I didn't want to be like the girls from that movie "The Descent" and get outta there. What was there to greet us on our way out? A foot print. A mystery to one and the other an investigative coyote.

Some months later I had went up to Spring Mountain Ranch and a ranger told me what the mystery footprint was. It was two prints of a jack rabbit. One layered on the other just right. Making it appear as a three toed monster.
