Part 1 - Turbine - Fix It

Part 2 - Children - Here Comes the Darkness

Part 3 - Earthquake - Get Up

---

A scream. A blood-curdling, fear inducing scream seemed to rip through the air as Sarah lay flat on her back, heaving. What was that? It can't have been Ross. He wasn't capable of such a scream, surely? Sarah just had to get up. She had struggled before, but now she just had to bring herself to do it. Thinking of her children, and all of her friends back at camp, she mustered all the energy left in her weary, broken body and brought herself to her feet. To the side of her was a long metal pole, perfect to act as a make-shift walking stick. Reaching out, she grabbed it.

Another scream. A panic inducing, sweat forming scream. It must have been one of the freaks. This time it was closer. A room was located just behind the stairs that wound up to the turbine. It was definitely coming from that direction. Struggling, leaning on the metal pole, Sarah ambled herself forward, lurching the way the freaks did.

'Ross!' shouted Sarah, aware that possibly drawing attention to herself was not a good idea. She couldn't leave him through, not after everything he had done for her and her family.

'Are you there Ross!?' she shouted again.

A scream, close now. Sickness settled in the pit of Sarah's stomach. If she had been looking at herself, she imagined she would probably watch the colour draining from her face. This time the scream sounded like Ross. Finding energy from somewhere, she doubled her speed. Water dripped down on to her face from somewhere, mixing with blood from her forehead, running in to her eyes. Apparently her head was bleeding. It made it hard to see. Finally she came around the corner and stopped.

Ross was lying on the ground, his neck slashed, the freak looking over him. Sarah looked in to his eyes, frozen in time, that seemed to stare back at her, anguished. There was no light in those eyes anymore. The freaks eyes turned on her. There was no light there either, but there was life.

For a moment it seemed, the freak smiled at her.
