Dead meat, two ways - Freewrite
Entry 33
The churned up dead cattle oozes down her chin. A small hint of secret burger sauce graces here lips. The tight and light bun falls apart as her teeth slice through the moulded wheat.
Lucy is enjoying this burger. Oh is she enjoying this burger. Only 12 minutes ago she was starving. Now, in a dimly lit diner off highway 86 she is getting that sweet, sweet hit of serotonin produced from her gut.
A long day on the road had passed. It's hard work carrying a dead body around the United States. Suprisingly the smell of dead meat did not detire her from digging into the dead meat of another animal. In fact, it kind of made her more keen for a dirty hamburger. Her blood lust expanding beyond just human flesh and bone.
With Lucy's last bite she burped a large burp. Most in the diner looked in disgust. But who were they to judge? They were just like her. Stuffing there faces. Drowning out their hunger with fat and acid.
Returning to the car Lucy saw red and blue flashes in the distance. Adrenaline kicked in. Lucy was moving slow, but her mind moving fast. She was close, too close to fail now. If only the cops had given her more time to digest that lovely burger. Sit in the front seat of the car in recline mode. Listen to a bit of funk-jazz, smell the rotting carcas in the trunk.
#Freewrite
Every now and again I write for 5 minutes continuously and do not stop until the timer runs out. What you read is a stream of words coming out all at once. No editing, no worrying. I find this creates amazing stories as you just have to let the words take you, rather than force them out. Enjoy.
Uncle Bruni stopping by because I miss your work. I enjoyed this very much. 🙏
