A typical Saturday night - Freewrite
WARNING: This weeks entry is quite graphic. For some reason I decided to go to a gruesome place. Please don't read on if you have a weak stomach. A good test? If you liked the move 'American Psycho' you'll understand this Freewrite.
Entry 38
The record player cracks, crinkles and crones as the same five words are repeated over and over... 'welcome to the hotel Cal.... welcome to the hotel Cal... welcome to the hotel Cal...'.
Amongst the newspaper neatly laid out across the groud stands a 1850's grand piano off to the side, a coffee table with two cups of half drunk coffee, 2 unopened "The Economist" Magazine's with blood stains on the plastic, a brand new Sonos Bass and the body of Regina George.
Standing over Regina's body, Carl Pilkington. His first axe swing missed the jugular - he'd had too much wine at dinner. The miss saw the blade caren into Regina's shoulder blade, clearly startling her and causing a jump so bold that Carl threw himself back into his record player (he'd only just bought it too).
Regina was in clear shock, the pain subsided with a scream that would've woken the whole neighbourhood, had Carl not killed everyone in it.
The scream didn't last long however, it's very hard to move with an axe in your back. It's even harder to live. Within a couple seconds Regina was on the floor. Still alive but in quite a bad way. Blood squirting everywhere.
'Just another typical Saturday night', Carl thought to himself.
What could have brought about an action that's going to change all future Saturday nights?
Perhaps the next prompt might bring out the trigger
