RE: Prompt of the day “Rodeo” - My Fiancés Niece Is A Equestrian Therapist

in #freewrite6 years ago

Anything equestrian would be a great career - especially therapy - does she have a degree in counseling too? I would think OWNING a horse or having daily access to a horse would be the best remedy for anyone. An hour a week, under the eye of a counselor, would be better than nothing, I'm sure, but to gallop under the stars on horseback, to have a horse that is your own, would be great. Then again, dogs and cats for therapy are a lot easier to accommodate. :) Nursing homes and public schools are turning to them more and more. Good! Even a crow can be companionable. Your niece looks like a marvelous young woman, regardless of her career choice, but what woman doesn't look even more incredible on horseback?

She has degrees in therapy for horses, she does nearly everything to help bring horses back to there best. She travels around to different towns even and does everything from energy work to physical injury recovery. She is very proud to say she has helped some horses that were pretty bad off get back to running around again.

I could imagine therapy with a horse would be great, they are such giant gentle animals. I use Jerry in this way, he is my therapy dog being such a goofy distraction.

Personally I’m spooked by horses 😅 need to get over that first

Jerry as a therapy dog - I totally can see that. He's like a court jester, like David the shepherd boy playing harp for King Saul. Stupid cat and dog videos on you-tube are my go-to after reading all the daily news. And nature photos of birds and blossoms and butterflies and flowers in meadows. Off now to go chase my dogs....
