Maximum effect with minimal word usage... I love it. Some great lines in this short piece:
"He hated clichés, but loved tradition. It was a delicate balance."
"The carelessness of the rivers. The patience of the woods"
and of course the last: "He walked until the loneliness became solitude."
Which is the kind of thing you think you've heard before, because it's such a clear, elegant expression that somebody should have put it that way by now... but they haven't.
