Free speech is free speech. There is no caveat or addendum - Kaos1973
If a group of pedophiles wants to say they want to have sex - then YES - ABSOLUTELY they should be able to. Allowing people to say stupid shit isn't agreeing with them, it is the courtesy afforded to them to listen if their ideas have merit or not.
As soon as you put controls on it, you make exceptions, and the weasels will always find a way so that they can have their free speech but you can't. Much like how Islam is using hate speech to control criticism of their ideas whilst allowing free range on their criticism of everyone else.
Free speech is BINARY. it is either on or off. There is no middle ground.
Speech is absolutely free, so also is the right to not listen if you don't care to hear it.
Moreover, freedom of speech is the guaranteed right to say anything you want to say in a peaceful manner. Once you begin shouting, threatening, or carrying weapons you are no longer protected under free speech.
There is plenty of speech I disagree with. Just because I disagree does not remove the right of the speaker. What my disagreement does do is grant me as much of an equal right to speak (also peaceably) the opposing viewpoint (whether opinion or fact).
Free assembly is not as protected as free speech. Free assembly is only protected for a peaceful petition for a redress of grievances toward the government of the State. Assembly for the purpose of intimidating a person or group or threatening the safety of any member of the public is NOT protected.
