Road to Freedom

Freedom means to be unshackled from the slavery and tyranny of government. One cannot be free if there is even the hint of Big Brother out there guiding my every move and forcibly stealing my property, which by the way does include any sort of wages I earn through employment or investments (savings accounts, rentals, stocks, bonds, lottery, gambling, etc.). In order for government to exist it has to have absolute power over its citizens literally telling them how to live, behave, shut up and obey without questioning authority.

It truly is possible to live peaceably without government. Yes, the roads and infrastructure will get the required maintenance, food and all sorts of manufactured products will finally be reasonably priced. The price will be determined by the market. What price am I willing to pay for a particular item? Imagine no taxes, tariffs, idiotic regulations and all the trees that will be saved. Without those shackles no need for unscrupulous business practices. Sure, there still will be cheats out there, but they will naturally be weeded out. No one desires to produce, sell or buy unsafe foods or products. Without the burdensome regulations companies can devote the resources necessary to make sure those products are safe.

What about police? Imagine all the idiotic laws on the books that burden us with false stops, arrests, jails, courts, police shooting or even killing us for no real reason. Imagine an end to the idiotic War on Drugs. That alone will free plenty of citizens whose only crime is possession of a tiny quantity of a so-called illegal drug. I am not saying this will end the drug problem but now it will be whittled down to a manageable size. Untold millions will not be imprisoned or be forced to endure the so-called justice system. Those that truly have a drug problem will have resources available to help them back to recovery without the "prison" stigma. They are already in a sort of cage. They do not need the government's idea of a cage.
