The lake is a large basin that occurs on the surface of the earth in a way that is naturally inundated by water can be tasteless or salty that the entire basin is surrounded by the land.

Danau Laut Tawar is a lake and tourist area located in Gayo Highlands, Central Aceh district, Aceh. On the west side of this lake there is a district town that is TAKENGON city, which is also the capital of Central Aceh District.
the lake is an interesting tourist spot with its beauty and also the air was so fresh and the water in the lake is very cold.
