Battleroyale: A step in the Multiplayer scene or just a decreasing trend?

Hello!!!
The game industry is based on evolution and progression, especially the multiplayer based games since the primordial state of internet connections.
We've seen MP games evolve in many ways, as FPS based on progression with xp, MOBA's and fps based by ranking, and even the casual games that don't have an objective for their player base, since 2013, with dayz in youtube trends, we've seen Dayz be born and die in less than 3 years, to give place for games like H1Z1, PubG, and Fortnite.
Personally, I didn't even like COD or BF multiplayer system, it doesn't suit every player but only the persistent, the ones that play 24/7 or have a pretty big history with games from the same genre, in terms of ranking based games, I dislike that system even more, because it's very unfair related with the team building and matchmaking, and even by the annoying player base.
With survival games it's different, you don't have the heavyweight of a rank to pull pressure on you, you can play with your squad without getting angry at them or at the other team, it's about strategy and communication in moments of tension, I believe it's a step in gaming and it has given me some pretty good times playing online and even in my room.
