Fortnite Might be Difficult for PUBG Players

in #fortnite6 years ago

I am definitely 4 seasons late for this article but it's better late than never. Initially, FORTNITE was never meant to be a Battle Royale, it was a Premium Game with PLAYER VERSUS ENVIRONMENT (PVE) game mode "SAVE THE WORLD". After the success of Battleground(PUBG), everyone got hooked on the concept of Battle Royale and Epic quickly bought their own Battle Royale with a different mechanics "FORTNITE" and made it Free to Play.

But is Fortnite really difficult for PUBG players? Let's Find out why...

Despite being a very similar game concept, PUBG and FORTNITE have a different game mechanics. Both games core concept, of being dropped on an island and surviving the entire game by eliminating your opponents and be the last man standing, although both the game requires a different skill set and gameplay style.

PUBG has a realistic approach towards its artstyle and gameplay, where the player is required to manage his/her inventory according to the levels of the bag, moreover, the players are given an option to choose his/her player perspective,(First Person Shooter or Third Person Shooter), according to their playstyle. PUBG also require good shooting skills, as it has a serious approach towards realistic shooting, whereas Fortnite requires a different playstyle compared to PUBG. Fortnite has not only focused on shooting skill but also has a constructive aspect in the game. "YES, THE PLAYER CAN BUILD A FREAKING FORT." Sorry about that, In Fortnite the player can build walls using materials farmed during the course of time to defend or get aggressive towards his/her enemies. The main focus is to build or destroy structures around him/her during a fight engagement. Players can also build paths to reach treasures which are beyond reach, moreover, players cannot change their perspective, which brings me to a point why Fortnite might be difficult for PUBG players.

Firstly, when it comes to shooter games my preferred view mode is First Person Perspective(FPP). Few games such as The Division is played in TPP also has an option of the FPP for players comfort. The players who are comfortable with FPP shooting style might get disappointed with Fortnite's TPP shooting style. Secondly, PUBG requires only shooting skills, which makes it easier to shoot from a certain distance. But whereas in Fortnite you not only need shooting skill but you also need the skill to build fast around yourself, to protect your avatar from the enemies. Players might find difficult to kill his/her enemies as they can build structures around them. Personally, it was quite difficult for me to build and shoot during the course of engaging. Players definitely need some hard practice just to get used to basic gameplay mechanics of the game.

Here are few of my personal opinions. Do share your opinion by writing down in the comment section below.
