Group A
Hosts Russia have come away quite lightly in the draw and they should have no problems qualifying along with Uruguay. Although the Saudis and Egypt are regular qualifiers and they'll both be satisfied that they can produce a surprise.

Group B
This is probably the toughest group with European Champions Portugal and 2010 World Champions Spain the favourites, but don't discount Morocco. A solid team who qualified without losing a match.

Group C
France should qualify quite comfortably and the runners up spot is quite open. Peru are strong, and Denmark are always strong, but the Socceroos have surprised a few teams in world football.

Group D
A tough group again. Argentina will be the favourites, but they won't fancy playing Iceland who knocked England out of the Euro 2016. Croatia are a tough side as are Nigeria.

Group E
A tough group for Brazil but they should qualify. Switzerland are in the top 10 of Fifa rankings, and Costa Rica got to the Quarter Finals in 2014, and Serbia are a tough European opponent.

Group F
Gwermany will qualify from this group but the runners up spot is going to be tight. Mexico are a solid side, and Sweden knocked Italy out, while Korea are always entertaining to watch.

Group G
England will be quite pleased with the draw after they were the second seeded team, and could have got much worse.Belgium v England will be a classic and all eyes will be on it being the last game of the round. Both teams should qualify, however. Panama and Tunisia should be fighting for the wooden spoon of Group G.

Group F
Quite an open group. Poland will be the favourites along with Colombia, but there's always one African team that goes far, and nobody would bet against Senegal qualifying from this group. Japan could surprise a few people, too.
