Football Prediction #11 (5/08/2021) - Europa League Qualifying: Galatasaray v St. Johnstone
Today is the turn of the Europa League qualifications and we will look at the game between...
@nathen007's Prediction
It's the sixth time that Scottish Cup and League Cup winners have qualified for the qualifiers in the last ten years but St. Johnstone have never made the group stages.
All that could change tonight with a charged-up squad led by manager Callum Davidson ready to take the game to the Turkish giants.
Despite all the big talk, Galatasaray are going be massive favourites having finished runners up in the league last season and having a long and impressive record in Turkish football. They will want to avenge a Scottish beating by Rangers who ended their chances last year.
The tie is over 2 legs, both home and away so St, Johnstone will need to get a solid result if they want to have any chance of progressing to the next qualifying round and Galatasaray at home is a hell hole you don't want to be trying to claw out a result but that's exactly what they'll need to do.
With only an injury to Craig Bryson, St. Johnstone will have an almost full squad to choose from. Galatasaray are not unbeatable, they got hammered by PSX Eindhoven in the Champions League Qualifiers by 7-2 but it is going to be an uphill battle for the team from Perth.
