You can't go wrong wIth Afang
Afang soup hmmmm yummy is a delicious soup prepared traditionally by both the Cross River people and Akwa Ibom people in Nigeria. Trust me when i say the soup is rich in vitamins, proteins and fibres.
So what do you need to prepare this delicious soup well ingredients include:
Afang leaves (shredded and pounded)
Water leaf (sliced)
Crayfish (ground)
Snail (optional)
Periwinkle (dressed)
Pepper (ground)
Onions (sliced)
Palm oil
Cubed seasoning
Stock fish
Beef
Dry fish
Salt to taste
Lots of people prepare afang soup differently but here is one easy way you can
Wash the beef and put in a pot, dont forget to add your cubed seasoning, pepper, salt and onions to taste then cook till soft
Wash periwinkle and add to pot, cook for some minutes. Add your well washed dry fish and ground crayfish. After some minutes you add shredded waterleaf while properly mixing everything
Add your palm oil and allow to simmer for two minutes while adding the required quantity of water you need
Finally add the pounded afang leaves and cook for two minutes stir and allow to simmer. Your delicious afang soup is ready to be served with Garri or Fufu
