Food Photography: Pinakbet ang Ilocano Version

Hello Steemians! Tonight I will show you how to prepare the Pinakbet ang Ilocano Version ^_^

This was prepared and cooked by my Ilocano husband and this is how it goes:

Ingredients:

lady finger, eggplant, bitter gourd, tomato, string beans, onion, anchovy sauce (bagoong balayan) and any meat/fish/chicken to add - ours is a left over grilled fish



Instructions:

Wash all the vegetables and other ingredients and slice them all. Put all the ingredients in a casserole over a heat stove and add the anchovy sauce and a cup of water. Gently mix the vegetables and cover to simmer.

Once the vegetables are tender add the leftover grilled fish, mix and bring to a boil. Make sure not to overcook the vegetables.

After few minutes remove from heat and serve while still hot. Serve this with steamed rice.

And that's how you cook the pinakbet! Very simple! Yeah just mix them all and simmer and serve! ^_^
