Food Photography - 'Dream Boat'

in #foodphotography7 years ago

I don't know about you guys, but I'm a massive sucker for Japanese cuisine and sashimi in particular. So before I pass out I wanted to share a photo of this insane sashimi boat from Eat Tokyo in Covent Garden - which Liam and I indulged on about 2 weeks ago.

It was actually all thanks to @buttpacker's recommendation during the London Crypto Show that I decided to check this place out as well. By the way you can read their full on mouthgasm review over here

Funnily enough I then told my sister @allasyummyfood about it and I believe her and @ivargereiko went there last weekend. So definitely a big thanks to both cheeks - your recommendation went a long way!

Liam got a promotion that day so it was the perfect place for a mini celebration with some sake and this...

I will most likely write up a proper review about this place later but for now this is my entry into the #foodphotography #contest hosted by @juliank.

Hope your dreams are made of sashimi tonight!

Goodnight,

Greetings, sweet and beautiful ingaa

Honestly, I must tell you that I do not like Japanese food because I do not appreciate the taste of the fish so much. I ate when I was a child, but today, I avoid it. I do not know what it is, but I do not like the smell so much, I think it's very strong.

However, I know that eating a Japanese carvery is much healthier than any other type of carriage because the person is ingesting protein and all of them are light in general, so that your body can have a good build of muscle without gaining fat, practically.

What would you suggest to me about Japanese food? Is there any fish that does not taste so much (or smell) ??? I really wanted to know that.

Thanks for the post and good night !!!!

Hey, completely get what you’re saying about fish being or smelling too fishy but actually you don’t get that with sashimi because all the fish is raw and fresh so it barely even smells fishy. You should give it another go and see if you like it!

But Japanese cuisine doesn’t just mean sushi and sashimi - there are a lot of other incredible dishes like black cod, teriyaki chicken, wagyu beef and so on. Definitely a lot to explore :-)

I understood. Thank you ingaa

I've been craving eat tokyo TOO BADLY. This photo just made me almost want to cry. Next time if you're in a bigger group, I 100% recommend the deluxe boat which comes with the lobster. I literally have wet dreams about that every night and wake up sad. 😂

Hahaha, you crack me up. And for sure, because even this one was quite A LOT! But I still loved every single piece. 🤤🤤🤤

This looks pretty dreamy, I gotta say!

Honestly, I’ve got to take you there, Yas!

Oh my friend! I have never had that one! But i think is so delicious !

You should definitely try some sashimi - it’s by far the best thing in Japanese cuisine :-)

If you say so, no doubt I will try!
