Expanding My Crypto Portofolio To Foodcoin

There is yet another ICO around. Except that is is called crowdfunding. You can buy Foodcoin in pre-sale which lasts until September the 6th. During this time you can buy Foodcoin with a 35% bonus.

Warning: the links in this article are referral links. When you join the ICO through them I receive a small commision. So we both benefit. Thank you.

Back to the Foodcoin. The coin will be an ERC20 Ethernet token. It is primarily meant as a currency on the 1000 EcoFarms platform.

To quote the web site:

FoodcoinEcosystem is a blockchain ecosystem, architecturally designed to create a global marketplace of food and agricultural products based on our experience with the active 1000 EcoFarms platform. FoodCoin Ecosystem will be based on the Ethereum technology

We believe that a wide selection of FoodcoinEcosystem component tools will be used by the farmers, agricultural equipment manufacturers, farm product processors, food manufacturers, cafes and restaurants, food delivery services, and other consumers and producers of food and related products to reduce transaction costs, achieve greater efficiency and optimize food systems.

You can read more about Foodcoin in the whitepaper and in the several news articles.

Mind you that some of them are sponsored and basically reiterate the same content.

In the follow up article I'll post atutorial of how you can buy some Foodcoin tokens in the pre-sale. The process is quite straightforward. The possible options to pay with (and receive 1 FdC) are:

Personally I have mixed feelings about it. This could be yet another coin or it could really be an important tool for bridging producers and consumers and bringing them closer together while at the same time providing healthy food products for the reasonable price.

That's why I'll be watching it and also will participate in the pre-sale.

I bought some before I read your blog....Resteemed!

Sounds really interesting will have to do a bit more research, thanks for sharing.

I think a key to valuate an ico is looking at the people behind it. No matter how good idea it is, if the people are not right for the job it simply won't be successful - what do you think ?

Well. I agree. Knowing the team and the team being transparent about their past and present work is one of the key points when deciding whether to join or not.

The FoodCoin team is also a 1000 EcoFarms team so it is known what are they capable of doing and what they've already done. One point for them :)

On the other hand, I'v ejoined ICO's which had a stellar team only to end in a messy divorce team story...

I am finding more and more that these ICO's are more the matter of faith than the objective and logical reasoning ...

And there are too many of them with far too much money flowing in, of course.

Yea it really feels a bit like playing roulette, and I agree with you on the point of faith. As all this is so new we don't even know how any of these coins or companies will actually look in the future - so going with your gut is necessary!
By the way you describe the team it sounds legit, eco producers are usually very sincere to begin with so they are probably very motivated !
Thanks for your long awesome reply :)
Have an awesome day my friend !

Cool, maybe I'll try it.
