Hipster Hunter: Bingsu (Korean Shaved Ice)

In this segment we dive into a summer worthy treat.... Bingsus!!

Bingsu or Korean shaved ice is an icy treat originating from korea thats drenched in syrup and topped with anything and everything from fruits to chocolate to well..... anything!

it's perfect for these blazing hot summers and the portions are pretty huge for one person... so what better excuse and opportunity than to ask that special someone out for a cool date ;)

Taste wise, I found it to be absolutely perfect to combat the hot tropical climate of Malaysia! Some of the selections like this sweet potato one I had, had a flavoured icy base instead of regular ice. Also, its shaved so finely it really does feel like fluffy soft snow imported from Antarctica..... I will say though, it is a recipe for type 2 diabetes...... but a nice treat once in a while won't hurt right???

The prices for these range from RM13.90 - RM25.90 depending on the toppings... which is really unreasonable when you consider the fact that its just ice and syrup??

Conclusion: I don't think I would go back again just because I find it sort of unreasonably priced. However, if you don't mind, it really is delicious!
