Growing Meal Worms For My Chickens!
I thought I would explain how I grow meal worms for my chickens. This is a very high protein treat for my girls, that can be grown with very little effort. The extra protein in the meal worms will help chickens recover quicker from molting. Their feathers grow back faster and helps them lay stronger eggs. This method of growing your own meal worms is so easy, I don't know why more people don't give it shot. It's so much more inexpensive than buying the dried meal worms. Have you seen the price of those things??? Oh my gosh!

It all looks so clean. Do you have to keep changing the oatmeal or are they just neat creatures?
How do you distribute them to the chickens? Just hand broadcast or put in a dish?
No @bchick you don't have to replace the oatmeal, just add to what's already there. I just scoop from the bottom and give my chickens their favorite treat!
