Before sharing with you my original recipe, I have to admit I used advertisements. These products are good and, more preferably, there are many varieties to choose. It is comforting to have a jar of sauce on the plate, but I fail to make my own sauce. I can control the ingredients and love how the food feels when the sauce is boiling.

The other day, a need to make the wine sauce over me, and I could not get rid of it. Maybe because I felt the sky was dark and the day was dark. After checking the pantry, I met a few ingredients - tomato puree box, mid-sized onion and some dried Italian herbs. The sauce was delicious and we had the spaghetti with a generous amount of grated Parmesan cheese.

I freeze the sauce leftovers for another day.

That day came sooner than expected. family members came for a summer picnic. I counted grill the meat until I saw the price of meat, so it was back to burgers. To make special burgers that I was a little barbecue sauce, I prepared a salad with bacon, lettuce, tomato and pasta, and made a zucchini casserole layers of the onion, frozen corn, and shredded mozzarella cheese.

Thank you to my homemade tomato sauce, casserole was a success. There was something different in the sauce, however, the difference in taste is subtle and difficult to detect. What was the secret ingredient? It was pepperoni, chopped finely so that the pieces have disappeared in the liquid. Serve with your favorite sauce or create a vegetable casserole as I did.

This recipe would make a thoughtful gift for a family member or friend. Serve in a high glass jar or a plastic plate. Tie a bow around the top. Add a card with the name of the sauce and the date on which it did.
