We love our biscuits and cookies! Is there a difference, really? Is it just British vs. American english adaptations for the same snack.

Leaving all the technicalities behind, let’s talk about us Indians with our favorite drink of choice. Comes in various glasses and milkiness, brewed classically with love from our moms and our office bhais. Chai!
We wake up and ponder with a glass of chai, we start our workstations and even stay late with a cuppa. Since liquid diet is never our thing, thank you biscuits for the perfect accompaniment.
Doing my research on biscuits and cookies, I realised there is only talks of the origin or why there is a difference between the biscuit and the cookie in the American or British world.
When all I can think of is the old jingle of Britannia biscuits ads airing in our television all the time or Shaktimaan magnifying his power thanks to a simple Parle G biscuit.
Biscuits & Love
I personally believe, for such a populous brown and proud generation of ours. Biscuits and cookies means something else. Nostalgia simply hits when we see a simple 10 Rs Parle G or Tiger biscuit packets. Hide and Seek cookies have become sources of survival in every single girl or boy’s secret snack drawer obviously along with a few maggi packets.
My best memories comes up whenever I wake up early in the morning, which is not an easy task. In order to cheer myself up, I go downstairs with a packet of biscuits and feed the dogs. Whether I was in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore or Kerala; it was always the same. By just giving off a couple of biscuits to these beautiful street furries, I am rewarded with security and love whenever I make my way back home.

If biscuits can help you attain zen and love, imagine the possibilities. Studies show A 2008 survey by Holiday Inn found that 80% of professionals think quality boardroom biscuits make a meeting successful and that they “improved the quality and outcome of a meeting” with those in the legal profession most likely to be influenced by a quality biscuit.

Forget about the crisp life altering changes you can make with biscuits and cookies. There is even a Biscuit throwing competition. It takes place in Glendale Country Show near Wooler, Northumberland and contestants have to throw a McVitie’s Rich Tea biscuit as far as they can.
That’s my kind of sportsmanship calling.
