Hello Everyone! - This is my first post and I have to say, this platform is a refreshing change. It feels freeing to be able to blog/ post about my life without the worry of the typical Facebook crowd. It is also nice to see such a variety of topics to follow and new people to connect with. Where to start?

I'm a foodie - love to cook, love to eat, love food porn...and I hope to share some of my original recipes . Here is a pic of my homemade ravioli with blush sauce:

I love to garden and take pride in my organic garden:

   Love to take photos:

I love tattoos, music, arts, crafts.... and my 2 sons. They many come up a lot as a proud Mom and Autism Mom! I was hoping this is the forum to get real about autism, its causes, and corruption behind the current autism epidemic. I still have a lot to learn on how to post here... I may be one of the older foogies lurking around here - so i will brush up on my steemit skills before I make another attempt at posting!

Hi nefey, just wanted to drop in and say 'hi'. I've been on steemit for about 4 days now and you were one of the first to like my post (garlic pesto). This site is a little addicting for me and I'm learning alot. Hope the summer is good to your garden. Let's hope for good weather and good food!

It is nice to catch up with you susieisms. I'm enjoying steemit - especially for meeting people with common interests . The garden is starting off well so far!!! Thank you and i hope we keep in touch!!

Welcome to Steemit! I'm on the autism spectrum so even though I'm not a professional I can hopefully help you learn about it!

Thank you - My younger son has moderate autism. He is only 8 so i would love to understand more of how it affects you as you get older. Do you feel like you grew out of some of the behaviors?

I'm sorry to say I don't think I really grew out of any of it. It could be different for him though. I think a big part of it is learning to live with the effects and how to either decrease them or use them to your advantage. For instance I am a very rigid thinker, which although it can get me into trouble (e.g. not doing homework because I don't see the point), it also has the effect of making me really good at arguing. So I think its very subjective.

Welcome to steemit seems we have simular interest :)

Welcome, I think I may be one of the older foogies too :)

Good - we can be clueless old foogies together!

I'm an aspiring homesteader with off grid dreams. There are a few other successful homesteaders here. Happy to have you aboard. I'm gonna follow you for sure.

Thank you solarguy... following you as well!

Another homesteader has just followed you
