A steemian's world food journal: Ushido Berlin with @knozaki2015
On the second day of our trip to Berlin this October, @knozaki2015 took my family to another Japanese restaurant, but the food was totally different from the one we ate last night.
This time, we enjoyed Japanese BBQ at Ushido restaurant. It was such an amazing eating place and I have to thank Knozaki million times for his recommendation. Let’s have a look at the menu:
There are several types of raw meat: chicken, beef, pork, lamb and also seafood.
You can order a set menu as well, they all look attracting and tasty ^^
BBQ sets are from 26 euro to 69 euro, with various kinds of meat
There are also many side dishes: kimchi, edamame, potato salad, spinach salad etc.
We ordered two teapots: Sencha and Genmaicha
Our side dishes: kimchi, cucumber salad and edamame. My hubby loves kimchi here since it is not so spicy and my son likes edamame, he finished half dish :)
Knozaki ordered the first round: some raw beef dishes that he had tried before :D
Fresh scallops are always my favorite, and this dish is no exception !!!
On the opposite side, @knozaki2015 was taking picture of a beef dish (before grilling it haha)
Beef tongue – I just love this one so much that I ordered it twice :P
The beef tongue is being grilled. A tip for you when eating Japanese BBQ: you should not leave it too long, otherwise it will be chewy. I find the best time to enjoy them is between medium and rare level :)
Marinated beef- I love the seasoning, it is a little bit sweet. The meat combined perfectly with the sauce and created a tasty flavor.
Knozaki was having the scallops grilled. They tasted awesome so we decided to order more :)
Look at the scallop, who could resist this white little amazing piece ?
We ordered two most expensive dishes of the restaurant: Wagyu beef and Wagyu premium.
The premium one
I ate Wagyu in Sydney many times before, however this one in Berlin seemed to taste more delicious. It was just melted down in my mouth, so soft and so aromatic. To conclude, it’s worth every penny. However, Knozaki said that Wagyu in Japan is much more cheaper with the same quality; so we are thinking about a trip to Japan next summer to enjoy the Japanese cuisine in its original country.
Here is the address and information of the restaurant. I think it is a very good one in Berlin, if you are in love with Japanese BBQ, you should definitely go there.
It is kinda late now and I think I should go to sleep and dream about these yummy Wagyu dishes, I am missing them right now lol.
Thank you for reading my post and see you soon <3<3<3
