9 Vitality Improvements

There are 3 main ways to replenish our vital life: food, breathing, and elements. If you want amplified vibes and improved intuitive sensitivity, food really helps. Fatigue, headaches, insomnia, colds, allergies, and migraines are the result of lacking nutrient absorption. I’m going to list 9 things that boost vitality. A deficit of any nutrient will lead to less energy and malnutrition manifests as undernourishment or obesity.

1. Superfood Fiber

We need unprocessed fiber. Processed foods don’t have enough beneficial fiber for our digestion, they are insufficient in fiber because the husk is removed during processing. Processed foods coat the gut flora inside the intestines and block nutrient uptake. Processed fiber is sometimes being put into processed foods but it isn’t exactly superfood fiber and works lousy compared to unprocessed fiber. It really matters that we skip processed food some days and eat lots of flax and chia seeds on salad and other things, they are superfood fiber, they help clear the intestines to absorb nutrients. Always increase water with fiber!

2. Water

We need extra water to compensate for higher fiber and transporting nutrients. Drinking a litre in morning helps flush the digestive system and improves hydration throughout body. I drink local water, but it is good to be mindful of all the heavy metals, fluoride, and toxins being dumped in.

3. Macronutrients

Proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids are macronutrients. We need to eat the largest amounts of these. Balancing them and eating healthier varieties is beneficial.

4. Micronutrients

Minerals and vitamins are micronutrients. I spend more time focusing on these than macronutrients, especially electrolyte minerals. Consequences of being deficient in these is severe. I take vitamin and mineral supplements to help. Here is a list of the essential vitamins and minerals.

Minerals

Alpha-Linolenic Acid, Amino Acids, Arachidonic Acid, Calcium, Chromium, Copper, DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid), EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid), Folate (Folic Acid), Glucose, Iron, Linoleic Acid, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Selenium, Zinc

Vitamins

Vitamin A, Vitamin B1 (Thiamin), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine), Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin K

5. Probiotics

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that help break food down into useable forms. They assist in digestion, improving nutrient absorption. I like to use supplements or eat probiotic rich foods.

6. Detoxing

We ingest toxins, drinking them down as though they were water. Toxins are everywhere and in everything. A good detox regimen can go a long way towards helping our immune systems and nutrient absorption.

7. Antioxidants

Antioxidants combat harmful molecules known as free radicals. Free radical molecules lose an electron and cause oxidative stress. Antioxidants give free radicals another electron and neutralize their threat.

8. Alkalinity

Harmful bacteria thrive in acidic conditions. By temporarily raising the ph levels in food and drink, we can create a slightly more alkaline environment inside ourselves. Good bacteria can survive in more alkaline environments whereas bad bacteria cannot. Having a better balance of bacteria helps us with nutrient absorption.

9. Anti-inflammatory

Inflammation causes damage to the body. Eating anti-inflammatory foods slows down aging and fights disease. Even low level inflammation impacts our small intestine. Nutrient absorption is affected negatively by inflammation.

Conclusion

These are 9 ways to increase vitality through food. Vitality boosts our energetic capabilities, makes us feel better, and remain healthy. Nutrient deficiencies can affect all parts of our bodies, and they do not necessarily mean that the nutrients aren’t in the foods we are eating. We have to absorb them also.
