Do you have a drinking problem??

in #food8 years ago

Unfortunately we have all heard the bad news about how much water we should drink each day. It is a problem that we as a society must face together! Even my sweet, soft rain water can leave me feeling bloated and well.... bored. So here are a few very simple ideas for some warming, healthy and tasty ways to inspire you to drink more water without the pain!

And it will make you feel better!
How....? Because you have to go outside to pick a lemon from your garden!

And see your plants grow!

And visit your sheep!!

Who also love bad selfies...

Now for the actual information....

Muster up some more enthusiasm, courage and these ingredients....

Simple drink idea #1
Add a squeeze of lemon to your glass of water. Warm or cold water, which ever you prefer! They say warm is better and that your body absorbs the fluid easier? And that lemon is alkaline so it helps to restore the PH balance of your tummy? Winning!

Simple drink idea #2
Add the juice of 1 orange to a mug of boiled water. Add a shake of cinnamon. Orange juice is full of vitamins and cinnamon is a healthy spice with an array of benefits. Not including wine, cocktails, spirits, cider, tea, milo or coffee, this would be my favourite drink......

Simple drink idea #3.
Add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a good teaspoon of honey to a mug of boiled water. Honey is just in this drink cos apple cider vinegar is gross, but its so full of goodness and you will love seeing everyone's face when they try it!

Give it a go!!! Not only will you increase your water intake you will have the extra health benefits as well.

Because wouldnt you rather feel like this...

Than like this....

OR this....

Are you adventurous?
Do you have a drinking problem? Or have one now because of this post!
Do you have a favourite way to flavour your water naturally?

(And not the turmeric one because I tried it and it is awful!)

Now repeat after me....

Water can be yummy!!!!

Just water is fine. Sometimes I add a squeeze of lemon, but I'm not that lucky to get it from own garden, no chance for it to grow in our climate.

Welcome to steemit :-)

It took me a long time until I could say I have them from my own garden. That is why I am so appreciative and can make such a silly post over such simplicity! It is a skill I have also worked on mastering over the years. Thanks for your comment and for appreciating my fruit tree! I shall grow it for all that cannot and be extra grateful for its produce. What is your climate like? I also have restrictions on what I can grow around here due to climate. But its a small sacrifice for the serenity.

We have temperate-continental climate. The average annual temperature within last ten years was 8.8°C (-1.5°C in Jan to 18°C in Jul) and yearly rainfall at 600mm. No lemons, but wonderful cherries! :-)

See there is a positive to everything! That does sound like quite the cold compromise though! You should post up some pictures of the cherries! I love cherry picking! Yumm!

Thats my kind of humour! Love it! Thanks for the laugh!

Yeah, I just thought I would have a laugh and my sheep felt like posing for a photo! Hehe, gardenlady! I like that name! I hope you try the drinks!

I liked your post and the drink ideas that you proposed while using your own photos. I love articles that promote natural health!

I just wrote one about how cycling at a specific rpm can make positive changes in the brain. Maybe you can have a look and upvote it if you like it.

The introduceyourself tag is for creating a post that tells us about you. Users are encouraged to use this tag exclusively for that, and not to reuse it. Abusing tags can potentially lead to people flagging you, even from dan himself.

Thanks!

Sorry I actually thought that as it was a verified post and the first pictures I have put up of myself in my garden, that it would also come under introduction. Also there are limited categories that so far suit mainstream people so its a bit hard to choose categories at this point. My sincere apologies for the confusion.

No problem, tags are a bit of a problem right now. Hopefully, we can get users to start using better tags and the popular tag list will expand.

As long as you have 2 or 3 popular tags you should be fine. You can create any others you like.

Thanks for understanding! I noticed that a couple of pictures were found on the web, it would be a good idea to cite the source on those. Since this site is geared toward creative content it is kind of assumed by some that if it isn't sourced it is your work.

Look forward to reading your next post!

but that frog actually looks kind of happy ;)
