Green Banana Tartlets. Recipe step by step (specialty of the Municipality of Colón)

in #food7 years ago

Greetings friends (as), as you can see in my blog I always share my delicious and practical homemade recipes (made at home) and also photographs of our beautiful nature.
Today, in particular, I want to share with you about another of my recipes, which I had the opportunity to do as a stick for a family reunion.

As you have seen through the post that I have published, I always talk about our gastronomy as a municipality if you remember the Colón Municipality-Zulia State-Venezuela is highly productive in harvesting and exporting bananas; with this I tell you that almost all our recipes and gastronomy is with this item called plantain there is no preparation or dish on the table that does not carry this as the main ingredient. For me it is an honor and privilege to share with you our recipes which I consider to be unique and special for all Coloneses and for everyone who visits us (Tourists).

I am talking about the BANANA TARTALETTES, there are the wheat flour tartlets baked in the oven, they are usually used as sticks in the Venezuelan festivities where their shape is like a small rate (wave) that can be added and put into sauces of any kind. taste or preferably antipasto.
This recipe is different because if you do not know how to make tartlets of wheat flour or if you do not have the way to buy them in the bakery, but if you have bananas in your home you can improvise with this recipe that I am going to give you today.

Its step by step.

Ingredients.

(Serving for 10 tarts)
4 Large green bananas
Pre-cooked corn flour
Oil
Salt to taste

For the filling called here in Venezuela (sofrito or picadillo)

1 onion
1- Branch of scallions
3- Chilli
1 tomato
Coriander
4- Cloves of garlic head
Pepper to taste
Salsa 57 or 79
Soy sauce
Dressing
Oil

Preparation.

For tartlets:

1.- Peel the bananas very well and then in a fee or bowl with a cheese grater you should grate all the bananas very well until you have a soft and a little sticky dough (this is because the banana remembers a banana on the outside a little dry and when grating it leaves a soft dough), in the image you can see why side of the grater you will have to grate the bananas.

2.- Then add a bit of the pre-sewn corn flour to the banana dough, mash it little by little so that it is integrated with what you previously scored, this is so that the dough is more compact a little hard so that the moment to do with your hands the Tantalitas de Plátano you stay well, firm and not watered down.

3.- Once you have all the tartlets done, you should fry them in a pan or pan in plenty of oil, until they are golden brown.

4.- To what you already see that they are well fried, remove them from the pan and place them on napkins so that the oil dries out.

For the filling called here in Venezuela (sofrito or picadillo)

1.- Peel 4 cloves of garlic very well and mash them very well in a small pot.

2.- Then wash the vegetables very well (onion, chili, tomato, green onion and cilantro) and chop them very well in small squares when you have finished. Put everything you chopped into the small pan to integrate it with the crushed garlic.

3.- Light the pan and having done the above, add the condiments, soy sauce, sauce 57 or 79, marinade, oil and pepper to taste. Fry it very well over low heat until all the flavors and smells are integrated.

4.- When the sofrito is already taking the Tartaleas de Plátano and start filling them with this rich and very spicy preparation, serve until you enjoy.

Note: All tartlets are preferably eaten with antipasto, at least so is the Venezuelan tradition especially that it is very spicy.

If you also have in the fridge some other type of sauces or ground meat, previously cooked or prepared, you can also use it, just like today in the photographs you can see the tartlets with ground meat.

I hope you liked this recipe and of course that they put it into practice in their homes is a good option to share as a family or for a party and meeting.

Soon I will continue sharing other recipes that I know you will like a lot.

I await your comments and until a new publication, greetings.
