Just Another Apple Tart

Ingredients for the crust:

  • 120g flour;
  • 50g butter;
  • 1 egg yolk;
  • 3 teaspoons sugar;
  • tiny bit of vanilla extract;

Directions:

Sift the flour into a medium bowl, grate in the butter and mix it all together, add in the yolk, sugar and vanilla extract, prepare the dough and let it chill it in the fridge for about 20-30 minutes. Form a crust in a small baking pan.

Ingredients for the filling:

  • gala apple;
  • a sprinkle of cinnamon;
  • a sprinkle of brown sugar;
  • some melted butter for brushing;
  • sliced almonds (optional).

Directions:

Peel and slice the apple and lay it over the crust, sprinkle the cinnamon, brown sugar over the top, brush with the melted butter and add some almonds if you please.


Bake the tart for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown at 200C or 400F.

Slice and serve warm or cold.

Right on! This recipe is super simple and you wouldn't need any crazy ingredients to make the tart, everything is just regular foods you would have in the fridge, well more or less haha
