Katsuei Gotemba

After a brief visit to the Gotemba Premium Outlet Mall (which was a disaster) everything was super expensive. I went to my favorite Katsu Restaurant. Katsu is like a Schnitzel, but with Japanese Pork. The Restaurant was so popular that we had to wait for 20 Minutes.

Japanese Katsu is really one of my favorites. The Pork is so tender and juicy and the White Sesame mixed with the homemade Tonkatsu Sauce is just awesome. You get a lot cabbage and free rice and miso soup refills, so nobody will ever leave this restaurant hungry. The price of the Japanese Black Pork Hire-Katsu (Fillet) was around 2200 Yen (20 USD). Seing Mt. Fuji was amazing. In Gotemba Mt. Fuji looks so big, I love Mt. Fuji.

Did you ever try Hire-Katsu ???

I love Japan and Mt. Fuji

mt fuji is the best ;)

Indeed, love the shape of Fuji-san from the distance. Did you ever climb it?
Did it myself a couple of years back. Should make a post about that. :)

yep. I need to check if I have pictures

Oh my goodness, the katsu looks so good! I have never had it with the crushed sesame before...I will have to try it the next time I get it. Beautiful photo of Mt. Fuji! Is that the sunrise behind it?

the crushed sesame is key ;) it tastes so great with

I've only seen Mt. Fuji through pictures. It must have been so amazing to view it while eating your delicious tonkatsu. If you had to wait 20 minutes, you know that the restaurant must be excellent.

20 minutes was lucky. usually it might be 60 minutes

The food certainly looks delicious and the homemade sauce is definitely a draw for me. Hire-katsu > rosu-katsu :)

well, it is a choice which one you like better. both are good

Another great adventure. Thank you!

the blackpork was so good

Is that a UFO above Mt. Fuji? No, it's a pork schnitzel! Seriously, the food looks absolutely delicious.

haha. you are so funny. I am answering comments on my flight and almost dropped my pc

Is it only me who hates to view delicious food posts when I can't have that food? :D
