Pengat Gayo - Typical Cuisine From Central Aceh
Pengat Gayo is a typical cuisine that comes from the Gayo plains. This form of food is more similar to pepes and cooking does not use leaves, unlike the manufacture of goulash but bread until no berkuah. Gayo tattoos are usually made from a variety of different fish, used by Gayo society such as black pomfret or red fish and fish depik OR Often also called carp.
Gayo tattoo has a characteristic with its acidity. Its characteristics and a bit of acid can produce a distinctive taste. The Ordinary Gayo Pengat is the hallmark of events like Mangan Morom or eating together, weddings and great reception.
Depik fish is one of the favorite housewives in Gayo to be used as a tattoo, this is what makes it easier to find in takengon area (central aceh) and texture is also suitable to be made heavy.
How to Make a Gayo Pengat:
material
- Fish Depik, Milkfish or Mujahir fish 1 kg
- Fish cleans and cuts according to taste
- red curly pink 10 pieces
- 5 pieces of red onion
- turmeric 1 cm
- 3 pieces of sunti acid
- coriander sufficiently
- Long beans or eggplant to taste
- mint flavored cooking leaves
- Sufficient air
How to make:
- all spice ingredients finely pulverized / blended roughly
- Enter the pan to cook the fish
- seasoning and fish placed in the pan and mix with enough air
