Chicken Inasal, a delicious Filipino dish
There's a Filipino restaurant in Toronto called Lasa that I love. They serve this dish called Chicken Inasal which is grilled chicken thighs marinated in lemongrass and soy with an achuete glaze and calamansi. It's SO good! (This photo was taken on an Olympus E-PM1.)
This is my photo for the #dailyfoodphotography iniative that @howtostartablog has started for people who love food and photography in the steemit community. You can read more about it here. Check it out and take part!

I dont know how achuete taste like but it looks yummy!
It's described as having a earthy, peppery flavour with a slight bitterness. It's also known as "achiote" in Mexican cuisine if that helps. This article was very informative in case you're curious to learn more!

Oooh didn't realize you are a Filipina 😀
I'm not actually! My family is Chinese but I love Filipino food! There's been more Filipino restaurants popping up in Toronto which is great because I'd love to learn more about the different dishes and ingredients.
