Another dairy-free pizza adventure!
Pizza night! I used a basic yeast dough crust recipe, spread some tomato sauce out of a can over that, and then sprinkled on browned italian pork sausage, mushrooms from a can, sliced olives from a can, turkey pepperoni, some diced green peppers, and a mix of Daiya and Follow Your Heart cheese substitutes. The latter is better overall, for the record. Now it is in the oven at 425° American (+/-220° Science) for 20 minutes. Perhaps I will wait a bit longer to dive in so I avoid the ritual of burning my mouth on volcanically hot tomato sauce.
Did the pizza turn out good?
@jacobtothe

@jacobtothe I think home made pizza is the best, I like pineapple on mine
According to some parts of the internet, pineapple on a pizza is an unpardonable sin. I have made my own "Hawaiian style" pizzas and I do like them a lot, especially since @generikat told me her Hawaiian husband takes umbrage at the term. Pineapple isn't native to Hawaii.
@jacobtothe I have heard that pineapple on pizza is a big no no but I have always gone against the grain, I did not know pineapple was not native to Hawaii, I learned something new today, thank you. Did you know it is easy to grow your own from the tops.
