Halloween Birthday Cakes fresh from a weekend gathering - a ghostly creation

Just a short note to put out some original cake ideas for those who like to mimic designs or just want to see some good bakery artistry. In this case, it is a birthday and Halloween combined celebration.

We have this ghostly ghoul to be served up. A fondant make the main shape and some buttercream icing to do the flowers. Nice little idea for the Halloween Party or the birthday that is near Halloween. In this case, it was for a 1 year old as you can see the ghost is holding a #1.

Then we have it's partner cake, which is the smaller one; where you have to let the baby to have to herself and make the big mess and take those cute pictures. I remember these times all too well with my kids. That was the first time that I never knew that I'd be changing diapers later that day that were soiled in blue....Let's just leave it that for those of you who know or remember what I mean. :) Anyway, enjoy having a look at these.
