Back to the kitchen for cupcakes
I will share with you a recipe for cupcakes and frosting.
no pre-packaged goods! just some old school flour and butter!
So let's start with the cupcakes
Ingredients (for 12 cupcakes)
200 gr flour
7gr backing powder
220 gr sugar
sniff of salt
1 egg
180 ml milk (full)
60 ml sunflower oil
vanilla extract or vanilla sugar (add to taste)
Instructions
preheat the oven to 180 degrees. sieve the flour and the baking powder over a bowl. mix the sugar and the salt with a whisk.
In a different bowl, mix the egg with the milk, the sunflower oil and the vanilla.
Add both mixtures together and mix them, at a low setting, into a smooth batter. Then mix the batter for another 30 seconds at high setting
put the cupcake molds in the tray and fill them for three quarters with batter. bake the cupcakes in the preheated oven in about 25 minutes. Do the old toothpick!
trick to see if they are done.. if nothing sticks they are ready.
Frosting (for 12 to 20 cupcakes)
Ingredients
45 grams of flour
240 ml of milk, at room temperature
200 grams of butter, at room temperature
200 grams of icing sugar
5 ml vanilla extract
food coloring (optional)
Instructions
Put the flour and milk in a saucepan. First beat the mixture thoroughly with a whisk, so that you can get started with a lump-free batter. Now put the pan on the fire.
Bring the it to the boil and then immediately put it on low heat. Always keep stirring well so that the batter will not burn and clump. For a lump-free result, you keep stirring continuously. work those arms!
The batter is now getting thicker and after about 5 minutes (always stirring) the mixture is thick enough. A wooden stick must be able to stand straight in the batter. Put the batter in a bowl and cover the bowl with plastic foil. Allow the whole to cool to room temperature.
Meanwhile, in a different bowl, whisk the soft butter until it is very smooth and airy with the mixer at medium speed. Slowly add the icing sugar and finally the vanilla. In between you always mix everything well with the mixer. If everything is mixed well, add the cooled milk / flour mix and mix for another 5 minutes at medium speed with the mixer. Now add the food coloring if you want. Just keep adding until you are satisfied with the color. Cover the whole again with plastic foil and put in the fridge for 15 minutes. Then the frosting is ready for use! If the frosting is unexpectedly too thin for you, add some extra icing sugar.
Some extra tips!
Let cupcakes cool well before applying the frosting. You can color the frosting with dye, decorate and decorate as you wish.
You prefer to make the frosting on the day itself. If this does not work then you can keep the topping covered in the refrigerator for 1 to 3 days.
In the freezer you can keep this frosting for 2-3 months.
Let the frosting out of the cooling, before use, come to room temperature completely
Have a beautiful day <3
Looks yummy!
I had to do a double take when you wrote about setting the oven to 180 degrees, then I realized you meant celsius not fahrenheit.
180 F is equal to 82 C, I thought no way are those cooking!
O! Yes you are right! Back to the writingboard! 😁I will change it. thanks!

No need to change! I got this online calculator:https://duckduckgo.com/?q=celsius+to+fahrenheit&t=ffnt&atb=v127-5&ia=answer
Preset oven to 350 F -easy stuff!!!!
When I use American recipes I always needed the calculators for the cups .. But now I finally bought a set of cups! Yay Ikea 😋
