Cheesy Beef Shepherd’s Pie - Easy & Simple Dinner
The classic English dish, Shepherd’s pie filled with ground beef, vegetables and topped with buttery mashed potato, perfectly creamy and cheesy dinner!
Shepherd’s pie is traditionally made with lamb, but as none in my family but me like lamb, Beef is just so tasty for this recipe.
How to make it?
I started with take out the ground beef from freezer overnight, and keep it in the fridge instead.
=> next day....
Get ready to cook!
Started to cook ground beef in over low heat.
While beef is being cook, chopped 3 cloves of garlic and onion.
Add in the chopped garlic.
Add in also the chopped onions.
Stir to combined.
And then, add in two packs of Shepherd’s pie seasoning mix.
This time, I’m using those products.
Stir until well combined.
Add in a cup of frozen corn.
Stir.
Add in a cup of frozen beans.
Stir and cook until the veggies is soft and the beef is cooked.
Peel and cut 5 large of potatoes into smaller chunks to make it faster to cook.
Boil the potatoes until they really cooked and soft.
Pour it in about 1/3 cup of milk.
Add in 3 tbsp of sour cream and 2 tbsp of margarine into the cooked potatoes.
Using an electric mixer, mix them until they become soft and smooth mashed potato.
Set aside when it’s ready.
Okey....
The filling mixture must be ready then, time to get ready the baking dish.
Transfer the filling mixture into the baking dish, spread it out in an even layer.
Scoop the mashed potato on top.
Use a fork, carefully spread them out in an even layer as well.
For toppling, spread 320 g shredded cheese!
and BOOM!! ready to bake in 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
