Putu Bambu, A Traditional Cakes that Almost Forgotten

Putu bambu, this name what usually called for this cake. Not very clear where the origins of this cake, there are sources saying that this cake is typical ethnic Malays originating from Tanjung Pinang, and also there are sources saying that this cake from India, but there are many sources saying that this cake comes from the island of Java.

Putu bambu or Javanese language puthu is one of the traditional cake usually can find in indonesia. The basic ingredients are rice flour. Rice flour was put in the small print of bamboo, the core is filled with brown sugar or usually called gula jawa, and then compacted with rice flour again, after steamed, putu sprinkled grated coconut. And ready.

This cakes, usually start to sell from afternoon until night. But, lately it's been rarely seen, is only found in a few places only. Even though the food is quite tasty and so delicious for a relaxing time.
