Exploring Food - PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CAKE
Every day is cake day. This is what you do on a day you feel like a little bored, make a cake ;)
Cake is often served as a celebratory dish on ceremonial occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries and birthdays. There are countless cake recopies some are centuries old. Cake making is no longer a complicated procedure.
So, Today I am sharing a sweet and rich chocolicious recipe with all of you. I have tried this recipe.Hope you will like it and give it a try.
TOPING:
Ingredients | Quantity |
---|---|
Light brown sugar | ½ Cup |
All-purpose flour | ½ Cup |
Peanut butter | ¼ Cup |
Unsalted butter, melted | 2 Tablespoons |
Chocolate chips | 1 Cup |
Note: (you can use a combination of milk chocolate)
CAKE:
Ingredients | Quantity |

All purpose flour | 2 Cups |
Baking powder | 2 Teaspoons |
Baking soda | ½ Teaspoon |
Salt | ½ Teaspoon |
Peanut Butter | ½ Cup |
Unsalted Butter | ¼ Cup |
Light brown sugar | 1 Cup |
Eggs | 2 Large |
Milk | 1 Cup |
Note: preheat oven to 375 F. Spray a baking pan with cooking oil.
To Make the Topping:
Stir the brown sugar and flour together in a medium bowl, breaking up any lumps of brown sugar. Add the peanut butter and melted butter, stirring until the mixture is crumbly. Mix in the chocolate chips then set aside.
To Make the Cake:
Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a bowl. In the bowl of mixer, beat the peanut butter on medium speed until it becomes creamy and smooth. Add the brown sugar and continue beating on medium until the mixture is light and fluffy. Then add the eggs, one by one, and beating well. With the mixer on low alternately add the dry ingredients and milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture, and beating just until combined.
Spread the better evenly in the pan. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the cake. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown. Insert a toothpick in the center of cake. If it comes out clean, place the pan to a wire rack and let it cool for at least 20-25 minutes. Then its ready u can slice it and serve it later.
