Ulog #242: A Sad Day Today
It's a sad day today. Not coz of STEEMit's whatever is going on. And not because my nation is going through some weird changes. It's a sad day because one of my favorite restaurants decided to change it's entire layout and menu.
It's a sad day because I'll never get to eat this amazing fried rice dish that I've been able to get whenever I want to the past 10+ years. I've had so many memories in the place including it being one of the first few places I took, my now wife, for a meal back when we were dating.
It's also the place that me and my friends go routinely to hang out and chat about life and all sorts of stuff.
Now, we've gotta find some other place but I'm sure it'll never be the same.
I don't know why they changed. Perhaps it's because times are changing and old business models that used to work aren't really bringing in profits anymore and the owners probably needed to make tough business decisions.
The workers that I've gotten to know over the last 10 years are still manning the place but they aren't serving what they used to so though they're the same people, it isn't the same restaurant.
They also changed the color of place which I don't know why. It's now a weird dull grayish green color that makes the look of the place so unwelcoming. It was a beige colored place with nice lighting and an open air feel which made it feel like a place you could sit down and chat for hours.
So... yeah... a sad day indeed. All the memory I'll have of the place will be this picture of a plate of fried rice.... slowly exits sobbing
