This time, is the salami yet nobody discussed about this one yet, so here we go

The Salami, the large cured meat are often use as a whacker as seen on a most of cartoon film when we were a child, I'm sure you can relate haha. But, I wan't to discuss it into deeper as my pizza post on before a only described a piece of it, and it was strictly in U.S only for the main topic it self is pizza and how it became popular, but this time I'll explain it as quick and understandable as possible; lets go

Salami, The Italian Cured meat as we know is actually, again, far more wayyy back at its time, that have 3 set o time trough different places respectively.


First of, Roman

The known method of butchering where the demands of Pig meat is where the origin this stored meat idea that then caused the cured meat later on, in Roman times, where the interest in pork progressively focused on pork legs; the breeding of pigs saw an increasingly precise improvement of raw material processing methods. At this time it known to became one of must have consumption in celebrative events and alike.


Second, during the Middle Ages

With successive Barbarian invasions, well yeah, barbarians are a major thing.. That is not so much of a positive thing to the Romans at that time, that is why these history are pretty much will end only in one place, pigs become one of the most important resources for the villages and of course the countryside, where they then makes a product out of it, some of the preserved meats such as hams, pork shoulder and pancettas, that even became a monetery currency, well I actually approved this because this is what trading literally and its actually important to look out after the quality of meats itself than the quantity, like the greater the higher the value it is


The Third one;

Of course the Barbarian times weren't forever were the passing centuries, pig breeding and the consumption of pork -related products progressively gain importance, going from the triumphs of the Renaissence period, when art of gastronomy develops and and pork then became the most sumptuous banquet tables followed to the nineteenth century where the first workshop and charcuterie shops open


Then the modern times

Where todays heritage of Norcinos has been handed down to the artisans and the food industry world that is always ready to create innovative products and sometimes at certain times, rediscovering its ancient recipes.
