Pui de draci or devils cubs - dessert
Hello dear hungry steemians!
This is a dessert I and my clan enjoy very..very much. We call them "pui de draci" in translation would sound "devils cubs" hard to express in english the meaning. Still....they are good and sweet.
So....we made them today...lots of them...around 179.
There are other names : choux a la creme or profiterol...but...but...this is my grandmother recipe and she is being doing them since she was young, she was born in the 40s..and she called them like this...so...this is rule...they are called PUI DE DRACI....no one calles them other wise.
Ok...so you make them from flower, sugar....in a almost circular shape...but the have some spices on top...hence...horns
Then you let them cool off and cut them in half horizontally, but not all the way, you let it a little bit connectet like a pot with a cover and take the insides out, empty it, because we are gonna fill it.
And them we fill them with a cream...I cannot tell you from what it is made because of familu secret...but it is sooo good...it involves cream of sweet cream.
And some hot chocolate
And you put it on top of them and this will come out
I love them
I salute you, reader!
