That, my friends, is Hot Pot. You want something to warm you up to the bones? This is what you want. For those of you who don't know, Hot Pot is a traditional Chinese cuisine and way of cooking. The broth is the center of this meal as it is what you'll use to cook your food... 20171224_190208.jpg

Yep, you cook your food in that broth; meaning 99% of all the food you get post-broth will be raw. The raw ingredients can be put in either the spicy broth or regular and stew with all the other ingredients to create astounding flavors. I personally recommend eating the meat first because, lets be honest, that's what you really want. But vegetables make a fresh, light, and healthy addition to your meal and many stewed with the meat pairs quite well within the broth. Each meal also comes with unlimited amounts of sauces and spices such as soy sauce, hoisin, garlic sauce, sesame oil, sesame paste, chili sauce, you name it; they'll probably have it.

So for this winter, I highly recommend visiting your local Hot Pot stop. If you want flavors ranging from sweet to spicy, meat ranging from squid to lamb, vegetables ranging from lettuce to enoki mushrooms; then this will be your new go-to on a cold winters night. Merry Christmas and stay hungry everyone
