joining, being active in (commenting on other's posts, taking part in challenges and contests, creating contests, resteeming, etc), posting in the #homesteading and #ecotrain tags primarily has made my experience on steemit. it is imperative to find your niche, connect with people of like interests and grow from there!

we aren't individual islands floating around in a big sea. get relating! people follow people who are relatable. and they like a story that tugs on their emotions and in which you show emotion.

anyone not having a great time on steemit yet, start sharing your self, not worrying about votes or views and find people you genuinely are interested in. that's the only way to make a real comment! the rest is just ships passing in the night...
