Why you shouldn't follow everyone who follows you.

Your taste, my taste, 2 totally different things. While you might like 1 post I make please don't follow me because of it. Why? I might post something totally different tomorrow, it might even be offensive to some. So if you're not an adult, adios.

The result of the chain follow is you funk up your stream. Then you don't want to log in, or be here. Not something anyone wants. Granted, you'll maybe find some cool people who post things you really like, but if you're actively participating in the network you'd more than likely find them anyway.

IF you like social media, use social media "well" you follow your interests. But people don't always post about the same things all the time, even if they really like it. They get bored & move on if they do. So don't be surprised if someone posts something way off from their norm.

Some people copy & paste articles as if they wrote it out, it shows. Where as sometimes I find something that makes me think, laugh & or appreciate that poster even more... typos, bad English & all, I'll upvote them. Perhaps they've successfully taken me to their own world, heightened my awareness? Some how, they've managed to reach me, stir my emotions. For that, even though it may occur rarely, I thank you & appreciate you.

Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈💋

To be fair, I spend the majority of my time looking at posts in the 'new' section.

Being here just over a fortnight, I haven't found all that many people I've really connected with, though there are a few. I need to have a clear out of my 'followed' list as I made a rookie error in following a lot of people back.

Even at this early stage I'm certain I've missed some great posts and can only imagine what things would have been like had I continued!

Lessons learned. Thanks for the insights :)

Well on G+ you can't tell if someone follows you back or not. This mentality is a carryover from Facebook & serves no practical application. People who think it's "rude" are just trying to manipulate you into following them. My feed, is about what / who I like, not about what others like or what others want me to do.
