"Robot Replaced Human". An Emotional Story.

I am , Sumanta Majhi from Kolkata, didn't believe myself that a Robot would replace me after working 30 years as a Psychiatrist in Essar Medical , Kolkata.

In today's world many medical job like surgery and medical and pathological check up job even diagnosis job was done by Robot.
All these Robot were working well as they simulated with huge medical database that human sometime forgotten and overlooked.
Human Dr set the Operation and pathological theater's and Robot did the cutting job in operation theatre.
They even diagnosis a patient well and sometimes better than human Dr.
But in case of Human Phycology where we have to deal with human mind condition and their depression, anger and disbelief and feeling of happiness and mourning.

How a Robot will do that kind of work , I wondered. How a Robot can replace me.
Why Chief of Hospital didn't give me a last chance after I misbehaved with one of my patients Mrs Shilpa who can't forget his husband who already died one year ago.
Since one year I try to make him understand in different ways both emotional and medical treatment so that she forget her past and live a normal life.
I council her several times from last one year. After last week I can't control my anger my failure and I abused her and throw her outside of my chamber.

Then I repeatedly apologize from her and from my Senior. But still nobody listened to me and yesterday Chief of Hospital bring a Robot Mr Shyam and he introduced with me and told me to go for long Vacation that's means retirement from my job.

He also told me to take all of my Provident Fund and final allowances and to fill the form of monthly pension scheme.

I was so depressed and I was filling very much guilty because of this sudden retirement.
I didn't want to retire from my work as I have nobody to take of myself.
My wife already gone and I had no children.
From last ten years I was living in this Hospital residential complex.
Everybody help me here for my standard living.
Now I have to go to my old house in Behala.
I had to manage everything alone and I had to start from beginning to survive here in my old house.
I can't convinced to the Chief of Hospital about my present situation and about my past mistakes which I did with Mrs Shila.

So at last I returned to my house in Behala.
After reaching there I can't take my food well and I didn't go outside . I always sitting inside my room.
Take a very little amount of food. I always remembered my past life which was very good.
I can't slept well here. Very soon I was falling I'll. I told one of my neighbour about my condition. He gave me some medicine from Dr.
But I didn't recover. Very next day somebody knock my door around 10 Am.
I opened the door and I saw a Robot in front of my house.
I ask him , he told me he was Dr Andrew a Psychiatric. He came here to check up me.
He sit beside me and told me he was just like his friend and came to discuss with me about my present situation.
I explained him though I didn't like a Robot.
I also told him that after her wife gone he was frustrated in his life very much as he had no children.
After long years working with various Psychiatric patients he forget himself.
His frustration towards his own life forced him to do many mistake on his patients.

Mr Andrew told me that “Yes he was a Robot” and he was programmed to do his work. He was ordered by his boss to came here and do accordingly. Andrew told him the his programmed and his Artificial Intelligence manipulate by the data stored in his memory and the data gathered from the patient and after manipulation he takes the decision and prescribed proper medicine.
Andrew make a cup of black coffee for Mr Sumanta and prescribed him some medicine and told him to take those medicine with enough foods.
Mr Sumanta wondered after looking into those medicine the Robot prescribed . He remembered everything as he also prescribed those medicine for the patient who were in depression with anxietiness.
Mr Andrew told him that Robot designed by human beings for take care of human beings . Robot makes human task easier.

Robot can't replace human. Robot need human supervisor for their working and taking decision.

He taken all those medicine with sufficient foods. Very soon Mr Sumanta recover from his illnesses and all his anger on Robots was cooldown. He started his medical practice by opening his own clinic and he also buy a Psychiatric Robot Doctor for his assistance.
