The flying women/Grand Mothers, in Peshawar KPK
A unique situation in this part of the world. There is a lot of transit trade to Afghanistan, which passes via Pakistan and especially through KPK and Peshawar /Toorkhum boarder. Some of these containers never cross the Pak/Afghan border, instead, they are opened on their way and the contents are brought back in different ways to be sold in various markets of Pakistan
I have posted a video ,where you will see one of the commonest ways of doing this, a grandmother is made to sit on a pile of cloth or whatever, to be brought back, over a motor bike, and they drive through the traffic, if stopped by police, it is the duty of the grandmother to start crying and shouting that she has no one and police is cruel and is taking away her livelihood from her ,a crowd gathers and intervenes between her and the police so much so that the police is forced to let her go, the illegal cloth etc. with her. In the video you can see the flying woman enjoying the ride.
