Be your true self \o/

in #flowers5 years ago

last year I did a post of an orchid i had given to someone special, although our relationship is a bit strained now i still go round to look after the dog, hes a very old staffordshire bull terrier and has a lovely temperament and his nickname is ghostface lol \o/ i love him to bits.
The orchid though that i posted about has continued to flourish and without the infused dyes and commercial tweeking has come back in flower this year with its true colours showing, and i think it is even more beautiful , for a couple of reasons, firstly Karen has a propensity to kill plants within days and this one she has nurtured and looked after for over a year and its flourishing, secondly i think theres a lesson here somewhere, Things change and they should not be loved any less for me i love this plant more now for its plain colours, its now its true self and i love it more now than i did last year :) \o/ so if theres a lesson here, just be your true self i suspect that everyone will love you more \o/

The unconditional love that pets give us is probably something that we should all cling onto and practice ourselves im sure the world would be a better place if we did.

After many years I lost my little watch dog Toteau back in April due to cancer. I miss him dearly so I may get a nice potted perennial as a living memorial. Ironically, he loved to chew up plants.

AW so sorry to hear that big hugs

Ahhh. This is lovely. You are a sensitive soul. Beautiful flower and such a handsome pup!
