Establishment Frames Florida Shooter as White Supremacist

It only took a day for the establishment and its trusted asset—in this case, the Anti-Defamation League—to frame suspected Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz as a politically motivated terrorist.

The ADL said [Republic of Florida] leader Jordan Jereb told them Cruz was associated with his group. Jereb, who is based in Tallahassee, said Cruz was brought into the group by another member and had participated in one or more ROF training exercises in the Tallahassee area, the ADL said. Law enforcement officials have not confirmed the link.

ABC reports ROF is a “white civil rights organization fighting for white identitarian politics” and seeks to create a “white ethnostate” in Florida.

Classmates told ABC News Cruz was associated with the group and “marched with the group frequently and was often seen with Jereb, who also confirmed to ABC News that Cruz was, at least at one point, part of that group.”

The ADL and the Southern Poverty Law Center specialize in conflating white supremacy and the so-called “liberty movement,” including constitutionalists and libertarians.

Since the 1950s, the FBI’s COINTELPRO operation has coopted white supremacist movements, beginning with the Ku Klux Klan. It has inserted informants and agent provocateurs—for instance Hal Turner, the notorious radio talk show host who masqueraded as a white supremacist.
