Five Days Of Drawing Rabbits :Cooking Breakfast
Big brother Morgan is expected to take charge,
When bunny mom, Gertrude is away.
So he hurriedly jump out of bed,
Hop and went straight to the garden and forage.
He found some fresh chives and an egg.
Perfect to make a sunny side up for breakfast.
Some toasts and warm tea too.
Soon his other siblings will rise
Ready to start the day with gladness
Hi my Draw A Day friends, it is lovely to see you again. I am on day 2 of the Five Days Of Drawing Challenge and each day my motivation just gets better to accomplish my goal. I feel excited to create because of your support and curation efforts. Thank you for your time and consideration on my day 1 entry. I was surprised to see the votes I really do appreciate it.
Now let's take a look at how I made this cute bunny on the progress photos below:
Here we start with the rough sketch of bunny number 2. I still don't have a name for him yet at this phase of the drawing choosing one could be a stumbling block you see. Lucky for me the name Morgan just came to be. Anyway I was thinking of a younger bunny who will be in charge when mom is away that's the plan and idea. If you notice he has his two front teeth here showing but I removed them in the final draft because they don't seem to fit the whole look.
Now to differentiate bunny two from Gertrude, I gave him a nice pointy red hat. Of course my favourite pompom must be present. This bunny does not wear a sweater like his mom but a onesie. Here you can see he is holding a pan and ready to cook. You already get it he is a cook next to his mom. These are the base colors I chose for him. I stick with the gray fur to be consistent with the first.
Some more details to define the pompom on top of his hat. I refrained from making the colors loud and limited them to three.
Initially the hat is just plain red but I find it quite boring and I added this pattern. Then put the highlights and shadows on to make it pop. The hat is my favourite in this drawing I must admit. I had fun and enjoyed creating it.
The final detail to complete this drawing is the cast iron pan with a fried egg. A plain sunny side up is fine but I added little bits of bacon and chives to complete it and make it look delicious. That's bunny number two who I named Morgan. Hope you like it and enjoyed reading my post.
