Goodbye garage, goodbye cars!!!
Sometimes, unfortunate things happen to good people. No matter how careful we are if accident are bound to happen, it will always happen. Accident are inevitable. All we need to do is to pray and move on and let God do the rest.
On Sunday, 10 June 2016, at approximately in the morning, one of our neighbors came to our house and shouted that there is smoke coming from our garage. We ran outside and opened the side door of the garage. We saw that one car was on fire.
We immediately grabbed the hose to try and save the car parked right next to it while the people in the complex helped us to phone the Fire Brigade. The garden hose was completely ineffective, and we tried to open the main garage door, which would not open. We later learned that the railing for the garage door bent.
Luckily a trained fireman from a neighboring complex arrived and they promptly connected the main fire-hose. With the help of the security guards of the complex, they manage to lift the door open and used the fire-hose directly on the car.
This was not enough to stop the fire, and the people of the complex arranged that someone will pull the car from the garage. Hey connected a rope and pulled the one car out of the garage. When the car was already outside, they was able to stop the fire in the car but the fire did spread into the wooden structure of the roof and racks standing in the garage.
There was extensive damage to the roof, walls and most of the property inside the garage was destroyed.
