Theory of the quantum self, a reflection on who we are.

in #filosophy6 years ago

Recently I have been very focused on what exactly I am. We can understand complex concepts and systems, but we can hardly explain to ourselves what we are, explain that essence capable of directing our reasoning. What I tell you next requires a careful reading ...

You can find various essays and philosophical theories about what is the "I", but based on our circumstance is unique and unrepeatable, our experience of ourselves is also, and if normal is not good to follow a doctrine or theory to the letter , in this case so essential to self-discover our existence, one needs to draw their own conclusions, and in my case, share them.

After much thinking I found the problem of my essence between the relationship of my reason (my thinking tool) and my identity (what I have assumed that I am). My philosophical "I" is found in one place as in another, in fact it is moving between one and another as the situation requires.

My identity can analyze itself as it happens in dreams or dissociated memories in which we see ourselves as if we were recorded by a camera that was never there, just as we can think our thoughts when we reason, and at the same time my thoughts is influenced by what I have assumed that I am (my identity), and in the same way my identity can be changed as a result of my thinking.

Therefore my "I" is located between a duality, between what you think it is (identity) and the ability to reason (thought), as if a long-term memory (hard drive) could be influenced by calculations made (processor), an assumed identity that is transformed through experience and reasoning.

Is then the "I" a mixture of both? For me, it is something superior, it would be like the user that controls both tools.

The "I" is not my identity, nor my thought, it is the relationship that exists between them.

"I" am a will of choice, I am the will that limits my existence manifesting through my identity or manifesting myself as the thought I am having, just as I can be a mixture of both, or none, hence the adjective of quantum.

Said "I" that moves among the cognitive tools that we have to interpret reality and manifest ourselves in it, is a will that we hardly control, in fact, it is a matter of survival that there are people who can spend their lives without considering or finding who they are and who can live.

This will is the abstraction of the existence that is common to every human being, it would be the innate transcendental subject that we carry, and that is acquiring a unique composition according to our unique cquisitions.

As a result of this several questions are born How do I handle my "I"? How can I think of my "I" if my thought is only a tool to interpret circumstantially at the same time I interpret the world?

One can think that his existence is influenced both by himself and by his reality (Unamuno), and that is the case, but I also believe that self-control can help us to separate both issues. Being aware that I am the will that chooses what limits my existence can give me a more authentic and conscious life, observing our reality a little bit further and letting ourselves be influenced by what interests us.

On the second question, there are meditation techniques that work these concepts, eliminate all mental construction, silence the subconscious that dictates what we are and "disconnect" our thinking machine leaves us alone with our existence, with that fluctuating will, that Although we can not observe directly, we can come to feel and perceive.

I look like this, and you?
